Phillip K. Vacchio joined the firm as an attorney in March 2014, practicing primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration, elder law, special needs planning, probate and administration, guardianship, and residential and commercial real estate. His goal is to be a zealous advocate for each and every client and to work cooperatively with them so that they are involved and aware of what is going on at every stage of representation. Whether retained for services as simple as preparing a basic Will or as complex as a contested estate administration, he will strive to consistently communicate with his clients in a way that they clearly understand every step of the process and the ultimate outcome.

Prior to joining Valerie A. Shivers, P.C., Mr. Vacchio was an associate attorney at the law office of Anthony E. Core, P.C., where he practiced in a number of fields including estate planning and administration, contract drafting and review, civil litigation, traffic violations, and landlord tenant law.  While in law school, Mr. Vacchio interned as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Leonard D. Wexler, District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York.  He also had the opportunity to intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Vacchio is an active member of the Long Island Family Caregiver Coalition, a local nonprofit organization with the goal of serving as a comprehensive resource for all of Long Island’s businesses and organizations that address the needs of family caregivers and their care recipients, and serves on a committee of the organization
